This was part of an assignment where we were given a number of randomly-selected attributes and had to design a character that incorporated all of them. The attributes I got were:
Aquatic or amphibious • Fairy or butterfly wings • Gun belt or harness and pistols • Greaves and bracers • Half mask
And so came about El Pescao — a siren cowboy in a Wild West/fantasy setting. His trusty(ish) steed is based on real-world Chincoteague ponies, a breed of feral, beach-dwelling horses.
